Who We Are

KDI — Kilimanjaro Dialogue Institute — is a not-for-profit and non-partisan organisation that addresses intercultural and interfaith-based issues through dialogue. It was founded in May 2014 with registration number 4886 under the Register of Trustees.

This organisation was formed by a group of people drawn from different professions. Our aim is to bring and maintain good relationships and peace in society through love and tolerance through the contribution and collaboration of academicians, journalists, religious leaders, politicians and diplomats.

KDI is a platform where people of diverse backgrounds can come together, share ideas and knowledge while respecting the different opinion.

OUR MISSION

To establish a dialogue platform for diverse groups which we believe contributes to peace, respect and mutual understanding in society despite differences such as of race, ethnicity, culture and religion for cohesive life.

OUR VISION

Society that treats everybody with dignity, equality and justice flourishes. Thus, we emphasize one another’s respect, tolerance, love, compassion and forgiveness.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Our activities include:

Organizing conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, study tours and award functions on local and international
Producing and disseminating related reports and publications from our affiliate

SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

KDI’S scope of work is hinged on creating a better world for the people, touching on the following, but not exclusive, activities:

Weekly study sessions reviewing peace, love and tolerance works of
Commemoration of International Days on the calendar of the United Nations Organisation and affiliated
Co-ordination of Iftar dinner hosting for the needy during the fasting month of
Organization of International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports. This we did in 2015 and
Facilitation of motivational speakers to Feza schools under the Ishik Medical and Education Foundation.
Coordination and collection of articles for the highly specialised Fountain magazine from writers in
Organising study tours abroad for decision makers, journalists and
Hosting interfaith and intercultural
Arranging round table discussions with prominent
